We got Josh's report card yesterday. I think I am prejudiced when it comes to my son. He fulfilled my expectations in 1st grade (which weren't many, just don't drive the teacher crazy) and exceeded them. His teacher loved him and told me how bright he was and how capable. I expected him to continue at the same level this year. It may be that there are so many kids in his class that he does really feel like he can coast, because that's what he did this first trimester. He was excited when he found out that he's exceeding at some levels. Everything else he's average. This doesn't compute when you actually sit down and talk with my child. Time for me to seriously start after-schooling him. Why did I send him back? Oh yeah, personal sanity.

Tim agrees that public school isn't really serving him that well and we should get him back into private school ASAP. I know that Tim would probably be against me bringing him back home unless I had a plan and stuck to it. Organization is key to homeschooling, not to mention that both Josh and I need structure :)

Ok, back to email.
